Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering

Well I have a new Dynamics AX blog to tell you about. It's the Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering Team blog.

From the blog:
"Welcome to the Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering Team’s blog. Our goal is to use this blog to interact with customers regarding patching and servicing of released product. The posts to this blog are intended to address and discuss issues pertaining to Dynamics AX Servicing with customers and partners who work with Dynamics AX. We plan to share information regarding the methods in which the Dynamics AX product is serviced as well as helpful hints or recommendations for some common issues we see. We will post periodically regarding different topics\challenges people are facing and hope to have some good discussion regarding these items. Our goal is to post topics on at least a monthly basis but you may find that posts may occur more or less frequently based on our availability."

You can find a link to there blog here: Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering - Team Blog

They have an already interesting post: Dynamics AX 2009 Patching

Thanks to the team, and lest wish them luck and encourage them to post! As always check back soon!

In the spot light: Dianne Siebold's WebLog

I wanted to kick off a new type of post, 'In the spot light'. Where I take different blogs, sites, resources, books, solutions, etc. and highlight that given source.

I have done this in the past, but never under a single type of approach. To kick this off, I wanted ti highlight a blog I have never highlighted before. That is the blog or weblog as she still calls it of Dianne Siebold.

This weblog, has a great amount of information and resources on it. She does a good job of covering some interesting topics, and some of her heaviest area's of coverage is AIF, or Application Integration Framework. This came out in DAX 4.0, and has gotten a much needed face lift and tummy tuck in DAX 2009.

You can reach her blog here: Dianne Siebold's WebLog I highly recommend added this as a resource you check on and read.

Thanks Dianne for taking the time to put your weblog together and for your great contributions to the community! Check back soon!

Microsoft Dynamics AX Enterprise Portal - Team Blog

I wanted to take the time this week to put a spot light on a recently created blog. The Microsoft Dynamics AX Enterprise Portal Team Blog.

This blog already has a lot of great information on it, and it's total focus is Dynamics AX 2009. With that, here is a list of some great entries they have already:

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 has been released and with it comes a new Enterprise Portal
"Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 is now officially released to the public. The official press release is located here. It has taken two years and a lot of hard from work a very dedicated team of individuals across the world. It comes full of many new and exciting features that will hopefully make AX 2009 resonate through the market. But this blog is not about AX in its entirety. It is about the new Enterprise Portal framework in AX 2009, which we are super excited about."

  • The Basics
Don't let the small title of this post fool you. This is a wonderful intro to working with the EP from a development perspective. I give this 5 Stars: *****

  • Writing UI logic and a lot more
Again another stellar post, with wonderful information. A must read, 5 Stars: *****

As you can see this is a wonderful new blog. I just hope they continue to put out great information, and great examples. Keep it up EP Team, and check back soon!

Dynamics Ax Performance team Blog

Well March has been a great month for Dynamics AX news. All about convergence, and the DAX 2009 coming out. With all this, some deeper questions exist from different levels about performance tools, and testing. SQL Server is the main place in which to have tuned for performance, and then the AOS, and so forth. With that, a new blog was started this month, by the 'Dynamics AX Performance Team'.

The blog link is here:
Dynamics AX Performance Team Blog

I will also add this to the links on the left, as I hope to see some great things from this blog, as we have some good things from the X++ team blog as well. (X++ Team Blog)

Make sure to check this blog out from time to time and add it to your reading list for Dynamics AX sites!

Check back soon!
