Top 100 List is out for 2011

Well another year, and another DynamicsWorld.co.uk top 100 list has been posted. To see the entire list, you can go to the following link: Microsoft Dynamics Most Influential People Top 100

This year, I have been placed 23rd, one place up from last years 24th. You can read my specific information here.: 23 Brandon George

I get ragged enough about this by my co-workers, this will only increase I'm sure. For what's it's worth, I am very thankful and honored to be listed among those others who work, and go beyond to help build out our Dynamics Ecosystem and Community.

Also, it's most important to point out all those that live and work in this Dynamics Ecosystem. Microsoft, Partners and Customers. So thank you, to everyone who strives to make the business world a better place, with the use of Microsoft Dynamics.

Thanks again!

DynamicsWorld Top 100 Voting for 2011 Started last week

While I was on vacation, the voting for the top 100 most Influential people in Microsoft Dynamics Ecosystem started.

This is hosted by DynamicsWorld.co.uk and has become and interesting social exercise. What I think is also interesting is that they have already had 15,000 unique voters, with 25k votes casted.

Because of this, they refreshed the polls, and counted the unique votes. You can vote by going to the site, or the poll I am on, can be viewed here if you feel like voting for me. ;-)

The Poll I'm on

I've seen all kinds of voting on this, where some had some automated voting setup to where they got like 5k+ votes within a single day! I'm glad that DynamicsWorld is keeping up with unique voters, as it makes it a true picture of the amount of people voting, and from what area they are voting.

So good luck to everyone, and I am just honored to be on the voting for a third year!

That's all for now, check back soon though as more to come! Till then!

Well, I have plenty in store for you this week for AX 2012, new column soon on the Microsoft Dynamics Community Site on upgrade decisions, as well as my continued series on MSDynamicsWorld.com.

As a little break from that schedule, I thought I would post about the fact that DynamicsWorld.co.uk has openned their doors once again for the Top 100 Most Influential People for 2011, in the Microsoft Dynamics.

Right now you can go to this link, Nomiate Someone, and nominate someone that you think deserves this honor. They are very specific about how these are awarded, and lay out on their site how this is achieved.

I also wanted to point out that DynamicsWorld.co.uk took the time to interview me. You can find that direct link here.: Interview - Brandon George - February 2011

DynamicsWorld Top 100 List for 2010 has been released

DynamicsWorld, www.DynamicsWorld.co.uk, has released it's annual Dynamics Top 100 list today, and I have to say I am most honored to be included in this list for a 2nd year.

This year I move from 84th, to 24th position. Again I am honored to be included with all the professionals who made this year list.

From the release.:
"This year we received over 350 nominations and recommendations.

Almost 10,000 votes were cast for the candidates on the shortlist.

More people than ever before took part in nominating, voting, and judging the list for 2010 so we would like to say thank you to everyone who took the time to get involved

We limit our list to 100 names, and as the Microsoft Dynamics channel matures and grows the competition for inclusion is becoming more evident and the judging becomes more difficult. But, the Top 100 is not focused on the best coders or the best consultants this event is about recognizing the people who are responsible for leading the Microsoft Dynamics channel, industry leaders, thought leaders, innovators, and bloggers."

I think it's very important to understand the fact that this list is not about the best coders, consultants, etc. Because there are thousands of great people that work hard at building the Dynamics community each day, with deliverying great projects to Dynamics customers.

I would like to thank the DynamicsWorld team, and also anyone who voted for me. This year was the first year that DynamicsWorld allowed voting, as part of a 12 point process. The voting aspect counted as one of the 12 aspects that they used for creating and ranking this years list.

I would also like to give a big congrats to all those that made it. You are on this list because of your deep involvement with the Dynamics Ecosystem, helping build out a great Dynamics Community.

That's all for now, but more post to come, inclduing a recent interview with Microsoft's Kees Hertogh.

DynamicsWorld - 2010 Top 100 - Voting

You may or may not recall, DynamicsWorld.co.uk launched and one of the first things they did was create a top A DynamicsWorld top 100 list of people, for Microsoft Dynamics in 2009.

Well this list is back, and they have over 250 people that have made the cut. What DynamicsWorld is asking your help now, is voting.

Voting counts, along with many different measures that they use, including a panel of judges.

To vote, just go to the following link.:
2010 Voting Link

Keep in mind, that there are 20 people per mini-poll. So if you want to continue voiting through the entire 250 people, vote, then hit refresh and the next random set of 20 will appear for you to vote on. Once you have votes your good.

The folks at DynamicsWorld.co.uk told me they added the voting aspect to help the Dynamics Community have a bigger say in the top 100 list.

I actually think this is a very interesting experiment, and wanting to see how the voting aspect affects this years list.

That's all for now, have a great weekend and check back soon as more post are coming next week!

This time I was interviewed about Dynamics AX

DynamicsWorld just did a post, where they interviewed me about Dynamics, Microsoft and Dynamics AX.

The direct link can be found here.: Interview - Brandon George

From the interview.:
"Who has been your biggest influence/s in Microsoft Dynamics?

I have actually thought a good bit about this question, because I have not really ever given this much thought before. When you’re working non-stop - which is a good thing - sometimes such reflections are not ever presented in one's mind.

So,with that said, there are actually a couple of different answers, and these are in order of how often versus any kind of priority. First I would say my customers / clients. They actually influence me the most because of their different business models. The problems they try and do solve with Dynamics AX, which sometimes pushes the envelope for the technology side of Dynamics AX. The needs they have for integrating into so many different systems, business partners and the like.

Second I would have to say Sunrise Technologies, the great people that make up the company I am a part of. The amount of talent we have at Sunrise, is rare. It's the mix of talent, versus being just strong technical or functional. The well rounded, real people that make up this company and ask the whys and why not's that push ourselves and our clients for better outcomes.

Third would have to be the Dynamics Community and my fellow bloggers. So many great minds are out there now writing, posting, promoting, and sharing about the Dynamics line. When I first started blogging some five years ago, there was not much out there, now there is a wealth of knowledge that exists that is due to the community and also Microsoft."

It was very interesting to be on the other end of an interview. This is the same site that listed me in The DynamicsWorld Top 100 List 2009 - For Microsoft Dynamics.

I would like to thank Simone and DynamicsWorld for taking the time to interview me.

That's all for now, but check back soon, as more Dynamics AX related post are coming!
