Intelligent Data Management Framework in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 - Courseware

Good morning everyone! I wanted to take the time and do a small, quick highlight post about recent courseware that was released on PartnerSource. You will need PartnerSource Access with a Training plan in order to be able to access this courseware.

AXUG Summit 2011 - Here we come Vegas!

With the release of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, there is so much to take in, understand and learn. Because of this fact, more than ever, events like AXUG Summit 2011 are critical to connecting and learning about the new release. There is a lot of great sessions planned around summit this year. A host of partners, and a lot of Microsoft driven, as well as customer driven sessions will exists for your enjoyement and learning.

This years event has totally sold out, and we be a record year for attendance. This is the first time that this event has sold out, and this I believe speaks volumes to the interest level in Microsoft Dynamics AX, as well as the value people place on the AXUG Summit event.

I'm really looking forward to this great event, and by far I believe it's the most important event of the year when it comes to conferences related to Microsoft Dynamics AX. This is where a lot of connections, knowledge, and bottom line value can be gained.

If you missed out, make sure to check out the early bird specials for next years summit. It's well worth the low cost, and the return on investment from doing so is just amazing. There is no other single event, that you can gain so much real world applicable knowledge, and why I suggest to every existing, or just newly signed AX customer become an active member of AXUG. As well, I also highly recommend each customer send someone, or a few someone's, to attend the Summit Conference every year.

Microsoft Dynamics AX Fast TrAX Developer Training

With the release of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, in full swing, one topic that everyone is really focused on is training. This major release changes the ERP game at so many levels, and uses more and more of the Microsoft stack than ever before. To this end, it's very important that Partners understand AX 2012, as well as the rest of the Dynamics Community at large.

Well welcome Microsoft Dynamics AX Fast TrAX Training! This is a new offering that was released today on PartnerSource. With that, you need PartnerSource Access and a learning plan to be able to sign up for this training.

There are two offerings for AX Fast TrAX, and one of those is focused at the developer level, is the: Microsoft Dynamics® AX Fast TrAX Developer Training

From the summary:
"Fast TrAX is a foundational training program for new Microsoft Dynamics AX Developers. The focus of the training is to spend 3 weeks in intensive product training based on the developmental aspects of the Microsoft Dynamics AX solution. Focusing on certification preparation in addition to hands on experience through hands on labs will help to build the initial muscle for a successful developer on the Microsoft Dynamics AX solution. This coupled with mentorship within your organization will set our developers on the road to being successful and contributing to your organization’s bottom line. At the completion of the training students will be well on their way to preparation for the Microsoft Dynamics AX certifications."

You can be sure that those leading the training efforts will be some of the most knowledgeable professionals on the planet, in regard to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. If you are looking for a great chance at diving deep into development with AX 2012, and have the ability to attend an intense three week training session, then this is a must.

The biggest draw back for such an effort, is having the ability to dedicate that much time, all in a row. For partner organizations I would recommend sending someone to this however, and allowing that person to be used as a "train the trainer" focus, and come back to your company and train others within your organization.

PartnerSource: Get Ready for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

I wanted to take the time and point out that Microsoft has released, for Partner's, the "Get Ready for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012" Whitepaper.

"Review the latest Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 readiness guide for preliminary details of the training content that is planned, including topic areas, proposed audience, duration, and type (self-study or instructor-led).

This guide also details the Microsoft application platform skills required. The training content will be made available on one of the following websites, depending on the primary audience: Microsoft Partner Network, PartnerSource, MSDN, TechNet or Microsoft Learning."

Please keep in mind that you need access to PartnerSource for this whitepaper. This is the continued plan, in which Microsoft is putting together, that was talked about at DAXCONF11 this year.

As we progress towards Convergence 2011 next month, we will start to see more and more information about training for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2011 for Partners, and I would expect the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Launch Portal to be highlighted at this years Convegrence, along with a slew of tracks for Dynamics AX 2012.

Webucator offering Dynamics Focused Instructor led, web based training

Recently I had the change to review some of the customized, instructor led training, offered for Dynamics based topics, by Webucator.



Their current focus is CRM, FRX, and GP. From what I understand they are working on adding more, including classes for Dynamics AX.

What's great about these classes, and what webucator can offer, is they can be customized to fit specific needs to clients, or even groups of clients that need similar training benefits.
