Sunrise awarded, and new post from Kees Hertogh

I hope that everyone has been doing great, myself with school back in action, I was taking out of action --- first bug from school came rampaging through our home. Seems that everything is mostly back to normal now.

With that, it's been a week since my last last post, and a lot is going on. So let me start off by saying congrats to my fellow Sunrisers for another year of being awarded in the Accounting Technology's 2010 VAR 100 list!

Now moving forward, Microsoft's owns Kees Hertogh, from the Microsoft Dynamics AX Product Group blog, just recently posted about how Making complex things simple is rewarding.

"The classic pitfall for a ‘one solution’ approach is the danger of complexity or disparate software often accompanied with a horrendous cost of ownership experiences. However, there are some things we fundamentally do different then our competitors:

- We have a continued focus on something what we often to refer to internally as “innovation from within.” Due to the unique transparent architecture of Microsoft Dynamics AX, we’re able to make fundamental changes or improvements in the application without sacrificing on upgradeability or maintainability. However, you’ll find applications out there which build a lot of redundancy in their data models because they’ve grown over time and the new functionality was literally bolted on.

- We extensively use the application platform capabilities built in the Microsoft application platform and closely work with these teams to continue to improve these offerings for ERP scenarios. Some examples: the Microsoft server OS offers a built-in workflow engine (the Windows Workflow Foundation). Competitors offer their own workflow/BPM stack capabilities that ride on top an OS, adding to integration complexity and cost. Kees is speaking directly about the vision that drives Microsoft innovation with Dynamics ERP product line, and specifically to Dynamics AX. Sunrise apart of Presidents club and Inner Circle - Again!

The Microsoft WPC 2010 conference holds a lot of information, and is a place for Microsoft and partners to connect with one another.

There is a lot to cover from this years WPC, and I plan on taking some interesting spots and covering those over the next several weeks.

One of the things that takes place at WPC is the Microsoft President's club and Inner Circle members are announced. Both of these achievments help partners stand out from everyone else, and it's very hard to make President;s club, much less be included as part of the Inner Circle.

This is not just Dynamics Focused either, this is all Partners. So, something like the top 4% of Partners in the world are included on the President's club, and then the top 1% of Partners, plus other - yearly changing - elements must be meet in order to gain the Inner Circle inclusion.

Sunrise, yet again, has gained both. With this, we only focus on Microsoft Dynamics AX, and all that surrounds it.

It's part of our guiding principles, in that we will do a few things, very, very well. So I am proud of the fact, that I am part of a Microsoft Gold Certified VAR, that has once again proven we do Microsoft Dynamics AX very, very well!

This should be an honor to all the Sunriser, because it everyone that contributes that makes this awards and inclusions take place. It's attention to details on projects, working long hard hours during sales cycle and implementations, marketing and generating leads, supporting our customers long after the initial implementation is gone.

Congrats my fellow Sunrisers, being able to claim Presidents Club and Inner Circle once again this FY 2010 for Microsoft is a big deal!

Sunrise Customer - American Apparel - Will recieve award at Convergence 2010

Sunrise Technologies, Inc. (www.sunriseconsult.com) announced today, about one of out Customers, American Apparel, will be honored at this years upcoming Convergence 2010, with the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Award for Excellence in Industry Implementation.

This is a great achievement, and speaks volumes to the effort American Apparel and Sunrise did, with working together to make American Apparel's Dynamics AX implementation a success, and a continued success after their go live.

Another Sunrise Award and customer win

Sunrise Technologies, Inc, the Microsoft Gold Partner I am a part of, recently had two press releases.

One if for a new award that was given at the very end of 2009.:

Sunrise Technologies makes the Triad Business Journal's Fast 50 for the 3rd consecutive year

Sunrise Technologies, Inc., the Microsoft Gold Certified VAR I am proud to be a part of, recently recieved an award, for the 3rd year in a row.



Sunrise has been named one of The Business Journal's 2008 Fast 50 winners. The year, coming in at number 17, 6 better than last year.

Being part of Sunrise, this means all the hard work all of us put into this thing called Sunrise is showing. See we all truly believe in the work we do, and what we implement. This makes a key difference, because that spills over into our long lasting customers. This is hard to achieve, and even harder for a company that Only focuses on AX, of the Dynamics platform. I am very proud to be a part of Sunrise, and glad that Microsoft sees all the hard work Sunrise does, and has awarded this to all of us.
